How marketplace payments will work
GlowNearMe is preparing secure payments in Malaysia and Singapore, using provider accounts for marketplace settlement. Account preparation, gateway-aware request decisions and recoverable payment handlers are written. Customer collection remains closed until quotas, settlement, local methods and daily reconciliation are complete; no payment is simulated.
Secure gateway handoff
Customers will use the gateway’s hosted payment page. GlowNearMe never collects or stores a raw card number. A return page alone never proves payment; only verified gateway evidence can update the booking.
Authorization, then confirmation
An unpaid slot hold lasts ten minutes. Instant appointments need successful authorization. Request-to-book services need professional acceptance within twelve hours. Expired or declined authorizations must be released safely.
Earnings after care is complete
The planned default is a three-day completion hold followed by weekly settlement. A dispute freezes its related earnings. Manual off-platform appointments do not incur marketplace commission or use the booking allowance.

Each illustration uses RM80 of care, RM20 of extras and RM10 of travel. Travel is part of the commission base. These are examples, not real appointments or payout balances. Customer fees and tax are separate; gateway processing costs are paid by the platform.

How a rule is chosen
An administrator approved personal rate takes priority for new bookings. Otherwise campaign, category, plan and market default rules apply, subject to the market floor of at least 20%. Only a super administrator can approve a lower personal rate, with a recorded reason. Personal rate changes do not affect existing holds or bookings, and confirmed appointments keep their locked commission.
Singapore uses the same commission rates as Malaysia: Free 35%, Monthly 22% and Annual 20%, charged in Singapore dollars. Singapore tax and customer fees still need market approval before charging.
Business setup is not a launch approval
Stripe collects its own banking and business requirements. Professional certificate review remains a separate GlowNearMe process. The primary verified business owner can prepare a Stripe account; delegated owners can view readiness but cannot open banking setup.
Cards, FPX and PayNow depend on the contracted platform country, currency and enabled gateway capabilities. Request-to-book needs a method supporting delayed capture. Local e-wallet support and actual settlement availability still need gateway validation before launch.
Stripe credentials are present · sandbox mode. No test or live charge has been made by this guide.
Money-movement safeguards still to build
Immutable balanced ledger & reconciliation
Charge, fee, refund and settlement records must be balanced and protected before money can move.
Safe refunds, completion holds & weekly payouts
Expired or declined payments need safe compensation, and provider earnings need the completion hold and dispute freeze.
Reviewed market tax and customer fees, professional approval, verified email, secure private details and signed gateway updates are also required. Connecting Stripe never bypasses these gates.
Calculation & signature checks
Commission precedence, the 20% floor, missing rules, rule expiry, travel charges and half-up rounding passed their calculation checks.
Valid signatures, altered bodies, stale timestamps and duplicate timestamp rejection passed their checks.
13 deterministic authorization, expiry, decision and late-payment checks passed. Pending/failed refunds were excluded from completed totals. No gateway charge was made. Three automated rounds passed for gateway decisions, successful refund evidence, settlement identities, cancellation policies, quotas, rescheduling cutoffs and market payment methods. Database concurrency and live gateway delivery require separate integration tests. Equal debit/credit pair and exact reversal calculations passed. Database guard installation and connected settlement checks are separate. These are deterministic checks, not a live payment test. Connected account setup, webhook deliveries, concurrent reservations and money movement still need separate browser and gateway QA.
